2021 BMW 4 Series Performance

Before we get to the graceful power you'll experience in the 2021 4 Series, you'll need to know what options lay ahead of you. You'll have a choice between the 430i, 430i xDrive, and M440i xDrive trim levels, the last one offering several unique features.

Most notably, the M440i xDrive utilizes a 3.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine, while both the 430i and 430i xDrive feature the 2.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine.

You'll see the most prominent separation between the two engines in their horsepower and torque outputs. The 430i and 430i xDrive each get 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, where the M440i xDrive gets 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

All three models are fitted with an 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes for immaculate control and handling. The transmission along with a 4-mode Driving Dynamics Control, high-precision steering system, and Dynamic Cruise Control will make your rides in the 4 Series feel smoother and more efficient than ever.

Both xDrive trims also come standard with BMW's all-wheel drive system.
